Operations Supervisor

Position Overview: Responsible for the effective and efficient distribution of products and management of drivers. Responsible for the development of personnel and sales performance. Ensure we provide our customers with world class direct store delivery and exceptional customer service. Must be able to work independently and yet is a team player. Must have a positive attitude, excellent customer service skills, solid work ethic and leadership skills, and willing to further develop their skills.

Basic Requirements:

Must be at least 21 years of age, be able to successfully complete and pass a pre-screen drug test and post-offer physical evaluation. Must be able to work flexible hours and begin workday as early as required and willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and/or holidays. Must manage route service deliveries and merchandising, ensure each route is covered on a daily, efficient, and timely basis. Will monitor and resolve any route shortages and/or overages; develop, plan, and schedule staffing requirements to meet established and changing objectives. Will manage drivers’ schedules and monitor hours worked. Will train, evaluate, and develop team members. Will ensure adherence to delivery standards, efficiencies and regulatory requirements. Will establish and maintain positive customer relationships, resolve customer issues, serve as a liaison between operations and sales while maintaining a highly visible and active presence. Must effectively communicate the company’s direction and vision and promote a safe environment. Must possess strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Must be detail oriented and possess basic technological knowledge.

Essential Job Functions

Managing and improving productivity, efficiencies and sales results, ensure we provide our customers with world class Direct Store Delivery (DSD) Service and
maintain awareness of all product knowledge information

Maintain a safe work environment at all times, complete paperwork accurately, legibly and timely and adhere to Federal , state, local and company safety policies and ensure company policies and procedures are enforced
Develop long term partnerships with new and established customers, perform route relief when necessary, interviews, hires, train and develop employees, and assist in annual performance reviews drivers

Coordinate scheduling, approve time off requests, track attendance issues, manage driver overtime expenses, ensure market execution and merchandising standards are met
Facilitates communications for truck repairs with vehicle maintenance vendors, maintains and adhere to Food Safety Program guidelines throughout facility and vehicles, compliance with DOT, FMCSA and OSHA regulations.
