Position Summary
Account Managers are largely responsible for company revenue. They drive business by identifying customers and forming relationships, which allows for excellent customer experience. They are pivotal in managing customer relationships, solving customers’ problems, and connecting clients with the proper services. As the primary point of contact, they guide customers, set clear expectations, and address issues as they arise. Account Managers are responsible for fostering strong relationships with customers, ensuring satisfaction, and promoting long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development
Attend Events : Participate in industry events, trade shows, networking events, lunches, customer meetings, and any activities where potential customers may be present.
Traditional Prospecting : Drop in, call, email potential prosects to increase customer base.
Introductions : Continuously ask for introductions to new potential prospects or centers of influence.
2. Performing Sales Process
Discovery Meeting : Uncover customers' pain points, problems, needs, past experiences, buying potential, and other relevant information to align our services with their requirements and to determine if they are a good fit with our company.
Conduct Fingerprinting Meetings : Assist customers in deciding which options they want quoted, aiding in streamlining the estimating process.
Present Proposals : Deliver proposals to customers effectively, recapping their initial pain points identified in discovery while highlighting how our solutions solves those pains.
Close Deals : Successfully close sales to meet or exceed sales targets.
Manage Customer Accounts : Oversee day to day needs of customer accounts to ensure ongoing satisfaction and repeat business.
3. Customer Relationship Management
Account Development Meetings : Hold official annual or bi-annual meetings to gather feedback on our performance, nurture customer relationships, obtain referrals, and expand accounts.
Problem Solving : Address and resolve customer issues promptly to maintain strong relationships.
