We are seeking a dedicated Pool and Yard Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position involves comprehensive maintenance duties for residential and commercial properties, ensuring that all outdoor spaces, including pools, hot tubs, and yards, are kept in pristine condition. The ideal candidate will have experience in landscaping, pool maintenance, and general outdoor upkeep.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pool Maintenance: Conduct regular cleaning and maintenance of pools, including checking chemical balance, cleaning filters, and ensuring pumps are functioning correctly. Identify and repair any issues such as leaks or broken tiles.
- Lawn Care and Landscaping: Perform routine lawn maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, and fertilizing. Plant and maintain garden beds, shrubs, and trees. Apply pesticides and herbicides responsibly when necessary.
- Equipment Maintenance: Keep all maintenance equipment in good working order. Perform minor repairs on gardening and pool equipment.
- Seasonal Tasks: Manage seasonal tasks such as leaf removal, snow removal, and preparing pools for winter/summer.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in pool maintenance and yard care, with a minimum of 1-2 years in a similar role.
- Knowledge of pool chemical handling and application, including a clear understanding of pH levels, chlorine, and other sanitizers.
- Familiarity with landscaping design and capable of operating maintenance equipment like lawn mowers, leaf blowers, and hedge trimmers.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in horticulture or a related field is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be physically able to handle manual labor tasks which include lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
