What are the responsibilities and job description for the Digital Marketing Specialist I position at Pitsco Education?
The Digital Marketing Specialist I is responsible for the maintenance of the company website and collaborates with the marketing team members to support the email and social media creation, and scheduling along with digital campaign development, execution, and evaluation. These tasks are accomplished by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
- Keeping websites refreshed regularly by updating and developing content to stay current with company initiatives
- Coordinating promotional assets and setup of landing pages, banners, resources, and content blocks in relation to marketing campaign efforts
- Establishing and maintaining an ongoing content calendar across all digital channels, with input from company and marketing leads
- Assisting with social media strategy and planning and execution
- Establishing and maintaining an ongoing social media content calendar
- Scheduling and publishing content using a social media management platform
- Setting success metrics for social channels and monitoring/reporting analytics
- Coordinating and supporting influencer marketing campaigns, with special emphasis for Instagram
- Creating and curating content to support brand efforts, campaigns, initiatives, and customer connection
- Collaborating with the Digital Marketing Specialist II on HubSpot maintenance
- Directing the Pitsco educator ambassador program (i.e., The Ambassador Group [TAG]), including leading internal team, leading strategy for program, and facilitating regular communication
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or business administration preferred
- Experience with a CMS and inbound marketing software and service platform (e.g., HubSpot)
- Experience supporting and/or managing social media platforms
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with some experience writing digital content
- Self-directed and detail oriented with ability to plan and prioritize multiple projects
- Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work with teams and individual stakeholders
- Ability to work in a general office environment
- Ability to travel for Pitsco as scheduled, up to 20 percent of the time
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Ability to be physically mobile with reasonable accommodation including ability to walk, balance, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, and stoop
