The Kelce Undergraduate School of Business at Pittsburg State University is accepting applications for an Assistant Professor of Economics, tenure-earning position.
Duties and Responsibilities
Teaching responsibilities include nine hours per semester of economics or related courses at the undergraduate and graduate level. Scholarly activity and output appropriate to maintain a Scholarly Academic AACSB Faculty Qualification as outlined in the Kelce College of Business “Faculty Qualifications and Engagement Criteria” is required. Additional expectations include mentoring students, active involvement in professional organizations, service to the university, college and community, and commitment to student success. Other service duties may include advising student organizations, participating in recruitment and retention efforts, and providing support to other Kelce efforts.
Education and Experience
Required Education and Experience – Time of Hire
- PhD in Economics (or related field) from an accredited institution of higher learning; candidates with ABD statue will be considered if degree by August 1, 20025.
Preferred Education and Experience -
Preference will be given to candidates with primary teaching areas in macroeconomics and public economics. Candidates should have a strong commitment to teaching along with the ability and desire to develop a scholarly research program commensurate with the expectations of an AACSB-accredited institution.
