JOB SUMMARY:
PK Retail Holdings is currently experiencing rapid growth and we are seeking an experienced Assistant Accounting Manager to join our accounting and finance team. The Assistant Accounting Manager will apply accounting principles to prepare financial reports, compile financial statement, analyze financial data, and ensure financial compliance. The Assistant Accounting Manager will also maintain and execute a variety of financial procedures, including month-end and year-end closings, accounts payable, accounts receivable, support tax returns, general ledger entries, budgeting, forecasting, and bank reconciliations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reconciliation/Consolidation
- Responsible for monthly general ledger close on a timely basis.
- Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions, posting within the general ledger.
- Maintain fixed asset/depreciation schedules
- Prepare/adjusting journal entries for properties and consolidation
- Assist in the monthly and year-end financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, preparing account balance reconciliations, and financial statement preparation and analysis.
- Develop and implement accounting procedures by evaluating current procedures and recommending changes.
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance
- Assist with compilation of information for preparation of tax returns
- Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management
- The quarterly and annual U. S. consolidated and separate company provision for income taxes under both historical and purchase accounting rules under U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Coordinating the preparation of provisions for income taxes for companies under other states statutory reporting rules
- Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Assist with quarterly consolidation closing process, including IFRS conversion, PPA adjustments, and lease accounting
- Conduct reviews of subsidiaries’ financial statements as necessary
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Perform special projects and other functions as necessary

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant field.
Skills/Competencies:
- Proven working experience as an Assistant Accounting Manager
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Experience with creating financial statements
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
- Experienced with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
