Our client, a manufacturing and installation company in West Hempstead, NY is seeking a Warehouse Manager to join their team. The candidate will be responsible for managing all warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving and inventory. Their goal will be to increase operational efficiency, meet company goals and standards and ensure a safe environment.

Responsibilities:
- Audit and report inventory while making recommendations on which items to order and restock
- Manage warehouse associates, monitoring work and ensuring the safe use of warehouse equipment
- Establish warehouse practices and protocols to achieve an efficient warehouse
- Set warehouse and team goals in collaboration with executive management and other team leads
- Monitor workplace performance and lead training initiatives to improve employees
- Keep up to date on the latest federal and state safety regulations
- Cooperate with other departments to ensure timely shipment of products
- Monitor the productivity levels of the staff to ensure goals/targets are reached.
- Lead team in layout improvement, storage location identification and implementation of ERP warehouse module.
- Provide feedback on department performance via KPI
- Adheres to company GMP’s and guidelines
- Resolve all shipping and receiving-related issues
- Control and direct movement of raw materials and finish goods from the preparation level to the delivery
- Manage all shipping and receiving documents.
- Manage and direct Monthly Inventory with counting and data input. Manage year end Inventory Audit.
- Work in collaboration with other departmental managers to ensure a free-flowing process
- Good communication and interpersonal skills are highly required
- ERP experience, bar coding and computer proficiency
- Excellent organizational and coordinating abilities
- Ability to work as part of a team and as a leader of a team
- Must possess good leadership skills
- Must be someone that is able to multitask and carry out his/her duties based on priorities. The shipping and receiving manager must also be able to meet and/or beat deadlines
- Must be self-motivated and also be able to motivate junior staff of the department
- Must be a person that pays attention to even the smallest of details when dealing with customers’ orders
- Problem-solving abilities on all fronts
- Proven previous experience in the role of a shipping and receiving manager
- Basic knowledge of computer operations.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends and holidays based on business need
- Forklift certified
- Bilingual Spanish is a must

Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
