About the Opportunity:
PSI is seeking a highly motivated HR Coordinator Intern to support our Recruiting, Onboarding Compliance, and Employee Engagement initiatives. This role is designed for a senior-year student pursuing a degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Organizational Leadership, Labor Relations, or Employment Law, with a strong academic foundation in advanced HR-related coursework.
This internship offers hands-on experience in core HR functions, including recruiting support, onboarding compliance, employee engagement, and training administration. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and embodies PSI’s core values of care, respect, and humility.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruiting Support:
- Coordinate and schedule interviews for the recruiting team.
- Conduct phone screenings for candidates and provide initial assessments.
- Prepare and send offer letters and onboarding documents.
Onboarding Compliance & Administration:
- Manage compliance-related documentation, including I-9s, background checks, drug & MVR screens.
- Ensure timely collection and accurate filing of all required new hire documents.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information.
Onboarding Engagement & Employee Support:
- Provide 1:1 communication with new hires to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
- Act as a point of contact for new employees, addressing questions and assisting with access to company tools for Safety, Engagement, and Payroll.
- Facilitate proactive outreach to ensure new hires are fully engaged with PSI’s onboarding process.
Learning Management System (LMS) & Compliance Reporting:
- Administer and manage LMS training assignments for Safety, Policies, and Team-Specific initiatives.
- Track and report compliance metrics to ensure all employees complete the required training.
- Support the development of training programs aligned with company policies and leadership initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a final-year undergraduate program in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Organizational Leadership, Labor Relations, or Employment Law.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- High level of professional maturity to manage and protect confidential employee information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Passion for creating positive employee experience and ensuring high engagement during onboarding.
