Must Haves:
Minimum of 20 years experience
Strong people management skills (managing a team of 10 minimum)
Manufacturing or distribution industry experience
Enthusiastic personality
Privately held company experience (family owned, PE or VC backed, etc.)
Preferred (but not required):
CPA and/or MBA
Experience from a company $200M in revenue
Epicor and/or Salesforce
General Summary:
The Corporate Controller is a key executive position that involves managing accounting, finance, and related departments, operations, and staff. This role requires working closely and collaboratively with other key executive positions and all departments to support the business growth strategy and ensure a highly productive, efficient, and motivating environment.
Essential Job Functions:
- Manage and oversee all accounting, finance and related operations and staff. Ensure the smooth operation of the accounting and finance departments.
- Ensure that all financial reports are accurate and comply with relevant regulations.
- Handle tax-related matters and collaborating with external CPA firms.
- Continuously enhance financial systems and processes to achieve better performance.
- Manage corporate and departmental budgets, performance, and controls.
- Prepare and present monthly reports on financial performance and strategic goals.
- Manage cash flow and ensure that account balances are maintained.
- Build and maintain successful relationships with all external financial institutions and service providers.
- Oversee payroll processing and managing employee financial benefits.
- Manage and coordinate contract review internally, and coordination as needed with external legal support.
- Key contributor in development and management of employee benefits.
- Lead direct and indirect departments in a highly organized, motivated, and successful manner to achieve organizational goals.
