Wage Band
Salary Range:
Starting salary is between $30.00 and $35.00 per hour, however, it is ultimately determined by the scope of the position the candidate's relevant experience, credentials/certifications and internal equity.
Job Summary
The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for supporting PlanMember’s strategy to build and maintain an effective presence across social media platforms. Working collaboratively with the Content Marketer, Marketing Team, and other stakeholders, the social media coordinator will utilize PlanMember’s social media automation platform (Hearsay) to create and publish high-quality content.
This is a part/time position at 20 hours per week.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Content Development
Collaborates with Content Marketer to understand PlanMember’s content strategy and target audiences, including the on-going refinement of said strategy
Develops and posts content across social media platforms that is aligned with the company’s brand voice and marketing/business objectives, and is tailored to specific audiences
Works with Creative Services to produce multimedia content (graphics, videos, etc.) that is consistent with established brand standards
Maintains a social media content calendar that reinforces annual strategy and KPI goals
When necessary, attend events and produce live or post-event social media content
Optimizes social media profiles for corporate accounts (all platforms)
Collaboration
Executes strategies to grow PlanMember’s key audiences on social media
Implements best practices & experimental tactics to improve brand awareness and engagement
Engages regularly with social media posts PlanMember is tagged/mentioned in
Replies to relevant likes, comments, etc. from our audience
Project Management
Secure content approvals from all stakeholders
Submit all social media content for Compliance department review and approval; revise content as needed
Reporting & Research
Cultivates a deep understanding of PlanMember’s target audiences, the competitive landscape, and social media marketing trends
Leverages social media automation platform (Hearsay) and audience behavior insights (Hearsay, Hootsuite, Brandwatch) to develop relevant and engaging content, optimal post schedule, etc.

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, advertising, PR preferred OR work experience in related field with equivalent work experience
1-3 years of experience managing social media for a brand, preferably within the financial services industry
Experience with Hearsay or similar social media automation platform a plus
Experience with social media management tools and analytics platforms
Experience creating and editing video for social media plus, not required
Familiarity with paid social media advertising a plus, not required
Basic understanding of social media analytics and reporting
