What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Account Manager position at Plastic Products Co.?
We are looking to add a Sales Account Manager to our team of employee-owners. This position will work primarily with one of our major appliance customers between our Moline, IL and West Branch, IA divisions, with the potential to add additional clients in the future.
Core Responsibilities
- Select and develop new customer base.
- Complete request for quote for any new business or revisions on current projects.
- Work with Directors and plant level personnel to understand capabilities and capacity for new projects.
- Direct research in development of new products and manufacturing methods in line with company objectives and policies.
- Communicate customer needs in regards to quality, timing and pricing.
- Manage new programs from quoting to production launch. Work with customers, engineers and PPC plant personnel.
- Create and deliver presentations of engineering and company capabilities to potential customers.
- Maintain contact with existing customers to ensure continued satisfaction and new business opportunities.
- Entertain customers to promote relations.
- Review past due invoices with customer and resolve any discrepancies.
- Provide direction and support to all divisions as required.
- Establish and review Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) on a quarterly basis; work towards achievement.
- Serve as ambassador of the company, highlighting and promoting company longevity, reputation and employee ownership.
Communication/Organizational Skills
- Effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Highly organized, analytical and acute attention to detail required.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously while effectively managing time.
Education/Experience
- Use of IQMS or similar ERP system.
- Post secondary education is preferred, or combination of education and experience.
- Basic knowledge of processing, resin, tooling and CAD.
- Valid driver’s license with clean record free from violations.
Work Location:
Hybrid- but must be near locations of Moline, IL and West Branch, IA
Pay:
Straight salary, no commission offered.
