You MUST reside within driving distance of Wheat Ridge, CO. (on-site for the first 90-days while training; a hybrid schedule to include remote work may or may not be offered thereafter).

As a Customs Specialist, you will work closely with our dynamic team of professionals dedicated to providing top-notch customer service and ensuring all international shipments are compliant with US Customs requirements as well as those of partner government agencies.
You will interface directly with our in-house Customs brokerage team along with our independently owned offices, other employees, transportation, and support provider vendors.
Customer service skills and the ability to multi-task and get the job done right are essential to your success. You must be able to handle a variety of recurring tasks and special projects and provide superior customer service in a small office and dynamic setting.

Responsibilities
- Review import / export documentation for accuracy and assist with HTS / Schedule B classification codes as well as applicable duty / tax rates
- Work closely w / Platinum licensees to advise on applicable US Customs and Partner Government Agency (PGA) requirements
- Prepare & file entry documents to include : Importer Security Filings, Consumption Entries, Warehouse Entries, and Inbond / Transportation Entries
- Assist with compliance audits on Customs entries and AES filings
- Respond to inquiries from Customs and other government agency requests
- Support international operations with quotes and regulatory requirements for outside agents
Job Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree and / or related experience in freight forwarding preferred
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience filing US Customs entries in ACE; experience with filing inbond / transportation entries preferred
- Knowledge of Partner Government Agency (PGA) requirements for various commodities
- Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving and organizational skills
- High attention to detail and ability to work independently with a sense of urgency and support as needed
- Dependable, reliable, and willing to work flexible hours to meet customer needs
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and other web-based applications
