Restaurant Busser

Job Summary: As a Busser you will play a key role in providing an exceptional dining experience for our guests by ensuring that the dining area is clean, organized, and welcoming. You will work closely with our servers, kitchen staff, and management to maintain an efficient flow of operations and deliver outstanding service in a traditional German dining setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clear tables and reset them after guests leave, ensuring they are clean and ready for new guests.
• Assist servers by delivering food and beverages, refilling drinks, and providing guests with extra utensils, condiments, napkins, etc.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dining area by sweeping floors, wiping down tables and chairs, and keeping the restaurant tidy.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down the dining area before and after service (e.g., setting tables with cutlery, glassware, and condiments).
• Take dirty dishes, glassware, and utensils to the dishwashing area.
• Ensure the kitchen has everything it needs to stay stocked (e.g , condiments, utensils, paper goods, etc.)
• Help with maintaining the cleanliness of restrooms and public areas as needed.
• Work collaboratively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure quick service and positive guest experience.
• Assist with special requests and any other tasks to support the team, as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a customer service role or restaurant setting is a plus but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay organized.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle the physical demands of the role, which often involves standing, walking, bending, lifting heavy trays or stacks of dishes, and carrying supplies.
• Positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts, ensuring that all tasks are completed promptly without compromising the quality of service.
• A polite and professional attitude when interacting with guests, ensuring a positive experience even though the busser may not be directly involved in serving the food.
• Being cheerful and maintaining a positive outlook even during busy or stressful times to contribute to a good atmosphere for both guests and colleagues.
• Willingness to take on additional duties as needed, such as helping with food runners, greeting guests, or assisting with inventory checks.
