Play Theory Cafe is Bend’s newest indoor playground and cafe. The play area consists of a pretend town for imaginative play, interactive STEM exhibits, a Cedarworks play structure, and an arts and crafts room for our little ones to fully explore their entertainment and education needs. Our cafe will feature Backporch's specialty coffee drinks, healthy onsite prepared food, as well as, baked goods and other offerings from Sparrow Bakery.
Job Description:
As the Indoor Playground Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of our indoor play facility, ensuring that it runs smoothly and meets safety and cleanliness standards. You will be tasked with managing a team, maintaining the facility, and ensuring a positive experience for children and families. This is a hands-on role that requires leadership, attention to detail, and a passion for working with children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facility Management: Oversee operations of the indoor playground, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and a welcoming environment.
- Safety Compliance: Conduct regular safety checks on equipment and play areas, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise and help cafe staff, ensuring they follow safety protocols and provide excellent customer service.
- Customer Service: Interact with parents, caregivers, and children to provide a positive experience, resolve complaints, and address concerns.
- Event Coordination: Help organize and oversee special events or themed activities, fostering a fun and engaging atmosphere for visitors.
We have many shifts to fill! There is also the opportunity for full time for the right person.
Immediate shift need is Saturday and Sunday from 8am - 2pm. Possibly full day and additional weekdays if desired.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus).
- Previous experience in facility management, child care, or a related field preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of child safety standards and practices.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or the ability to obtain it) is preferred.
- Passion for working with children and creating a positive, safe environment.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
