Role and Responsibilities

The Digital Media Marketing Specialist will be the voice of the company through our digital channels. The overall goal of the Digital Media Marketing Specialist is to use digital media, email, and SMS to create and raise brand awareness, create, and engage new customers, reintroduce existing customers and tell the "Plesser’s story" both locally and nationally.

This in-office position will Collaborate on all marketing programs in conjunction with the President, V.P of Sales and cross functional teams in ecommerce and IT. This team member will develop and implement the company's digital media marketing and email plan and coordinate their campaigns with other brand initiatives to accomplish overall marketing goals for the organization, including raising brand awareness, generating inbound traffic, and cultivating leads and sales. They are responsible for continuously generating content for the company, creating innovative ideas and campaigns and measuring their effectiveness using analytic tools, and supporting and executing all digital media activations, and email programs and automations.

  • Develop and implement a digital marketing and email strategy to help customers discover and/or deepen their relationship (drive customer engagement) with the Plesser’s brand. This will include but not be limited to:
  • Conduct competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification.
  • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies to drive successful business goals
  • Schedule, coordinate and track all digital/email marketing initiatives
  • Develop and manage digital/email marketing campaigns
  • Identify & analyze industry trends and insights, competitor development, make recommendations based on activity
  • Gain and maintain full understanding of our product offering, history, and customers to identify target audience and growth opportunities
  • Increase email subscribers, launch SMS subscribers, expand online traffic and e-commerce sales on Plessers.com. Recommend changes to website where and when necessary
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of SEM, SEO and make any recommendations as needed for such. This should include any recommendations, implementations, and optimization of paid campaigns
  • Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company's digital content
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against goals (ROI & KPI’s) using analytics and conversion rates and any other resources available
  • Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate digital data/metrics, insights and best practices and determine appropriate actions to be taken
  • Communicate and collaborate with internal departments/staff to create and achieve marketing goals including promotional and in-store event tie-ins
  • Work with Web Team (Brand, Graphic, Content, IT, Webmaster, Ecommerce) to produce all digital promotions; ads, emails, website content, etc.
  • Collaborate with agencies, vendors, and other Company partners for marketing and digital media projects/purposes
  • Generate, edit, publish, and share content (original text, images, video, or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members/customers to engage
  • Partner with Plesser’s supported charities to implement cross promotional campaigns across various channels
  • Stay informed of recent technologies and guide company based on advancements and new tools.
  • Collaborate with Management on annual events; planning, procuring venues, marketing materials and overseeing vendors.
  • Develop marketing and web assets, kits and partner comms with internal departments and external vendors to create a high-energy and interactive atmosphere to optimize attendee flow and achieve event goals.
  • Implementing creative and innovative ways to maintain employee engagement.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Marketing or Communications Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • 3-5 years’ experience working in digital marketing
  • Familiar with Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, as well as Internet Browsers, etc.
  • Experience with a variety of digital media website analytic tools and channels including Google Analytics (GA4), Meta, TikTok, Twitter, Google, YouTube, and LinkedIn etc., experience working with Magento and Dotdigital a plus
  • Demonstrated experience with social media & web analytics tools (e.g. Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Google Analytics)
  • Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Canva, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) Video Editing Software, Typography & Typesetting, Digital Design Program (UI, UX, Sketch)
  • Knowledge of SEO & SEM best practices
  • Knowledge of email platforms, segmentation, customer journeys and automations required
  • Understanding of paid media strategy and experience implementing various digital tactics driving positive ROAS.
  • Basic knowledge of web design and web development
  • Ability to work flexible schedule. Hours may include weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Kneeling, stooping, using stairs, may be required to lift weights of usually 5 – 30 pounds.
