About Us:
We are a growing General and Electrical Contractor specializing in large-scale construction projects. We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team, focusing on both general construction and electrical project estimations. Solar estimation experience is a plus.
Job Description:
As a Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates for projects exceeding $750,000, with a focus on electrical and general contracting scopes. You will work closely with project managers and clients to ensure all estimates align with project specifications and financial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for general construction and electrical projects.
- Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to develop comprehensive estimates.
- Identify and quantify all scope elements, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to assess project risks and develop cost-effective solutions.
- Assist with bid proposals, change orders, and value engineering efforts.
- Stay current on market trends, material costs, and construction techniques.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Must be capable of obtaining Department of Energy (DOE) and Department of Defense (DOD) security clearances.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience estimating projects with a value of $750,000 or more.
- Proven experience estimating electrical projects (solar estimation experience is a plus).
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred, but practical experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and best practices.
- Proficiency in estimating software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
