What are the responsibilities and job description for the EHS Safety - Design position at PM Group?
The EHS Site Safety Lead position is an exciting opportunity to join one of PM Group’s global life sciences clients in Conshohocken, PA. This is a high-profile need and the position is responsible for oversight of multiple large and small capital projects running consecutively at the site. The need requires previous direct personnel management experience, the ability to interact with and align the construction leadership team as well as oversee the site construction safety leads.

Responsibilities
- Work closely with project teams to integrate U.S. and company-specific EHS compliance requirements into design processes from the outset, minimizing rework and ensuring compliance.
- Engage in project 3-D model and equipment-specific technical reviews, offering EHS-focused solutions.
- Perform risk assessments and develop compliance strategies aligned with regulatory and company standards.
- Provide technical advice and guidance on EHS standards and best practices to project stakeholders.
- Participate in and support the HazOp process, ensuring identified actions are incorporated into the design delivery.
- Document EHS reviews at various project stage-gates and manage actions to ensure timely closure.
- Monitor and report on EHS by Design and other project KPIs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist in identifying and resolving residual EHS issues through the W3 Care Custody and Control process.
- Lead the Pre-Start-Up Safety Review Process (PSSR), addressing all relevant issues.
- Support other EHS functions to ensure project deliverables meet schedule and budget requirements.
- Facilitate EHS training and communication for project and Operational Readiness teams.
Qualifications
- 4-year Degree or demonstrated work experience
- Strong project delivery experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS roles, particularly in project design or machine safety delivery elements.
- Experience or familiarity with Qualification and Commissioning recommended
- Ability to promote and maintain a positive safety culture.
