Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced Pediatric Speech Therapist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in evaluating and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in children. You will collaborate with our multi-specialty team to provide individualized treatment plans that address each patient’s unique needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of speech and language disorders in pediatric patients.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on patient needs.
- Provide therapy for a range of speech, language, and communication disorders, including articulation, fluency, voice, and language delays.
- Collaborate with physicians, mental health professionals, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive care.
- Educate families on strategies to support speech and language development at home.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans.
- Participate in case discussions and contribute to the overall growth of the speech therapy department.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current Maryland state license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) Certification (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly children with developmental delays, autism spectrum disorders, and other speech and language challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team setting.
