Area Logistics / Transportation Operations Manager

Job Summary:
Oversee multiple yard management and transportation locations, ensuring efficient operations, exceptional customer service, and alignment with business goals. Manage and support Location Managers to drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead daily operations to meet KPIs and improve processes.
• Develop teams through coaching and engagement.
• Ensure compliance with safety and legal standards.
• Collaborate with Location Managers on workflows and resource planning.
• Oversee logistics, track key metrics, and resolve performance issues.
• Act as Location Manager backup and support VP-assigned tasks.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED (college degree preferred).
• CDL-A or recent tractor-trailer driving experience (preferred).
• 10 years in logistics, with 5 in leadership roles.
• Skilled in operations, budgeting, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Work Environment:

• Mix of remote work and field visits.
• Travel: 70-90%.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
