You will generate and manage your pipeline-combining outbound prospecting, inbound lead follow-up, and networking-while cultivating trusted advisor relationships with new clients. The HCM Sales Consultant is a dynamic, full-cycle sales professional responsible for driving growth in our HCM division. Key Responsibilities
- Full-Cycle Sales Activities:
- Execute outbound prospecting, telemarketing, email marketing, and attend networking events, primarily in the DC/VA region.
- Qualify inbound leads, schedule and conduct discovery and demonstration meetings, deliver impactful presentations, and guide prospects through a structured sales process (Prospect → Discovery → Demo → Proposal → Close).
- Pipeline & Quota Management:
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline with a target of 3X pipeline coverage.
- Achieve or exceed quota targets, with a fully ramped annual quota of approximately $245K (first-year targets may be lower based on ramp-up).
- Maintain accurate activity, contact, and deal records in HubSpot CRM Sales Hub.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Develop and nurture trusted advisor relationships with clients and referral partners (CPAs, bankers, insurance brokers, etc.).
- Manage assigned client relationships to ensure successful adoption of the PNI
- HCM platform, and drive revenue expansion through upselling and referrals to additional divisions (such as Retirement Solutions).
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate closely with the marketing team to request updated collateral, targeted prospect lists, and event support.
- Stay up to date on isolved products and functionality.
- Provide timely feedback on market trends and client needs to help refine our offerings.
- Once fully trained, your day will involve strategic planning and active selling. Expect to:
- Kick off with pipeline reviews and prospecting strategy sessions.
- Attend networking groups and industry events in your target DC/VA territories.
- Engage in a series of scheduled discovery meetings and demos, aiming for at least 2 discovery meetings and 3 demos per week.
- Follow up on leads and nurture relationships through regular calls, emails, and in-person meetings.
- Collaborate with your colleagues during team meetings and sales training sessions to continually hone your skills.
- Experience:
- 2-4 years of HCM sales experience with a proven track record in quota attainment.
- Prior experience in payroll, HCM, Human Resources, or related SaaS environments is required.
- Skills & Competencies:
- A thirst for knowledge and a willingness to grow and adapt using the latest sales tools and methodologies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and HubSpot CRM.
- Superior organizational, time management, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Education:
- BA/BS in Marketing, Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, Business, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience preferred.
