Job Overview : We are seeking a highly motivated and goal-oriented individual with an enthusiasm to join our team as a full-time casting assistant.
In this entry-level role, you will play an important part in the voice-over casting process by assisting in identifying, evaluating, and selecting voice talent.
The casting assistant will work with casting leads to identify talent matches for upcoming audiobook productions. You will be responsible for talent communication, scouting, vetting, and supporting the broader production team.
Responsibilities :
- Scouting and recruitment of a diverse range of voice talent
- Maintain and review a database of voice actors
- Review and analyze manuscripts, ensuring inclusive and authentic representation in casting choices
- Create shortlists for all incoming productions
- Respond to incoming casting team emails
- Administrative support to the casting team
- Assess incoming manuscripts to determine the most suitable narration style
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in theater, audio production, publishing, or equivalent experience
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Self-motivated to work in a fast-paced environment
- An advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Committed to maintaining confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information
- Passion for books, acting, and storytelling with a particular interest in romance genres
- Current knowledge of top audiobook narration talent especially in the romance genres
- Up-to-date with the latest trends in audiobook narration talent
- Exhibit a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for collaborative teamwork
Nice to have :
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite as well as Slack, Airtable, Trello, and Worksuite
Knowledgeable about current top audiobook narration and voice over talent
This is a full-time position reporting to the company headquarters in El Segundo.
