What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paralegal - Personal Injury position at Poe Law, LLC?
Poe Law, LLC is an exciting and fast paced and growing injury law firm that focuses on auto accidents and workers' compensation claims. Poe Law represents a wide variety of public safety officials, including police officers, firefighters, corrections officers, EMT's and paramedics.
Poe Law routinely tries jury trials throughout the State of Maryland with outstanding client results. Therefore, this position will obtain actual Courtroom experience. Some travel will be required.
Poe Law will consider all candidates who are motivated to be a team player. Poe Law is a hard working law firm that maintains a fun and exiting atmosphere. While litigation experience and/or workers' compensation experience is preferred, it is not required to apply as Poe Law is willing to train the right candidate. Salary will be commiserate with experience.
This is an "in office" position located in Dunkirk, Maryland.

Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with all aspects of litigation, including discovery, trial preparation, and document management.
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Manage case files and maintain document management systems.
- Organize and maintain case calendars and deadlines.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel in a professional manner.
- Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, transcribing dictation, filing, and proofreading.
- Answer phones and direct calls to appropriate parties while maintaining phone etiquette.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
