As the functional expert for specified applications, the Business Analyst is the point of contact between the stakeholders and Software Development teams. This role works with stakeholders to capture business requirements that are meaningful, accurate, and detailed. The business requirements then need to be structured and conveyed to developers to translate the requirements into a functional software design. The Business Analyst will manage communication and facilitate an exceptional level of engagement between the stakeholders and developers.
The ideal candidate has experience in the Payments industry or a similar financial services background, and is proactive, inquisitive and advocates for continual engagement throughout the process with the ability to consolidate differing messages from various stakeholders into a single, consistent vision.

What you'll do:
- Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis
- Analytically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
- Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements to deliver the following artifacts as needed:
- (Functional requirements (Business Requirements Document), iii. Use Cases, GUI, Screen and Interface designs)
- Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans
- Serves as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team through which requirements flow
- Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language
- Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams
- Represent stakeholders
- Bachelors in Computer Science, Business or related fields, or equivalent work experience.
- 3 years working in a Business Systems Analyst role.
- Previous work experience in Financial, Insurance or Payments industry.
- Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently with stakeholders to define concepts as well as work under direction of project managers.
- Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of users, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Marshal resources (includes acquiring knowledge or material information from others) to get things done.
- Knowledge in Agile or Scrum.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence.
- IIBA® Business Analysis Certification
