THE OPPORTUNITY
Pointe is looking for a Manager to support our General Practice and the firm’s rapid growth by leading teams in delivering value to our clients. Pointe currently operates in a highly flexible hybrid office model. This position will be located at our Arlington, Virginia office. Pointe offers industry leading compensation, robust benefits, and schedule flexibility.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Managers are integral to Pointe’s success as a firm. As a Manager, you represent the engine of our Great People, Great Clients, and Great Work Mantra! You will be responsible for developing more junior Great People on projects and empowering the leadership team’s account strategies. You will also be a key driver in structuring and delivering Great Work to our exclusive list of Great Clients. More specifically, you will:
- Drive hypothesis generation to inform research and analytical approaches for client engagements
- Manage project processes from start-to-finish, owning the client delivery, and ensuring output meets Pointe’s standards for quality of insight and client impact
- Develop thoughtful approaches, work plans, and frameworks to inform decision-making for Pointe’s clients
- Develop relationships with key client maps and add measurable value to our client relationships
- Oversee and conduct original research, contact development, primary intelligence, and executive-level interviewing to develop unique insight regarding market dynamics and strategic decisions
- Oversee the development of best-in-class materials that exceed client expectations (in terms of research depth, analytical rigor, and visualization)
- Partner with clients on engagements by cultivating a collaborative environment and providing high-touch service
- Develop mastery of Pointe’s research, analytical approaches, and expertise in key client industries
- Support the development of Pointe's proprietary database of industry experts
- Coach and nurture junior staff and provide team members with developmental and fulfilling opportunities on projects
- Act as a role model for junior staff by embodying Pointe’s values

- BA or BS required with a clear track record of academic excellence in fields such as Economics, Business, Finance, or Data Science
- Master’s degree in business, management, or other relevant degree preferred
- Three to five years of consulting and/or related industry experience (commercial consulting, research, corporate strategy, corporate development, or similar experience preferred)
- An aptitude for networking and executive-level interviewing
- Well-honed business acumen and analytical skills
- Strong communication, writing, and critical-thinking skills
- Work ethic, dedicated, organized, detail-oriented, and accountable
- Time management and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Advanced skill set in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel
- Experience with other analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, R, Python), including modeling and statistical data analysis are a plus
- Foreign language capabilities are a plus
