The Network Systems Analyst performs technical and operational work in the Information Technology Division and is knowledgeable in the duties, tasks, and responsibilities.
The most important and essential job function of the position is attitude which includes the following: interacting positively and cooperating with co-workers, responding professionally and efficiently with customers, working as a team member, functioning under intense time pressure and responding in a positive manner to supervision.
The Network Systems Analyst shall perform any other duties and tasks that may be required and shall have the physical, mental and emotional abilities to perform the essential job duties of the position.

Essential Functions
- Data Center Backup with Monitoring, Troubleshooting and Notification
- Maintain and Modify Software Programs
- Maintain Knowledge of PCSO Software Systems
- Provide End User Assistance
- Liaison with Technical Support Vendors
- Conduct Research on Law Enforcement Technologies
- Analyze and Make Recommendations for System and Programs
- Establish voice and data network connectivity by pulling, terminating, and splicing cables; installing telecommunications and networking equipment
- Plan network installations by studying plans, manuals, and technical specifications; ordering and gathering equipment, supplies, materials, and tools; assessing installation site and preparing an installation diagram
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain PCSO network equipment
- Plan, install, and implement PCSO network equipment
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain desktop phone equipment
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain PCSO security equipment
- Field repair of PCSO voice and data networking equipment
Education, Professional Certification or License
- Two (2) year degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Comparable training and experience may be substituted for minimum qualifications
- *FCIC/NCIC Certification (Obtain within 90 Days)
- Valid Florida Driver’s License
Professional Experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Data Center Management, IT Security, Web Design preferred
- Experience in computer technologies for Law Enforcement preferred
