Role Overview:
The Master Scheduler coordinates schedules and inventory to ensure efficient department operations. You will work with sales, engineering, logistics, and manufacturing to establish schedules, manage resources, and ensure timely deliveries.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as main point of contact for various departments
- Develop schedules based on available resources to meet customer needs
- Monitor inventory and acquire supplies as needed
- Coordinate with vendors for timely order deliveries
- Maintain and update master distribution schedules
- Participate in forecasting and planning meetings
- Cross-train and support backup scheduler
Requirements:
- Two-year technical degree, a four-year degree is preferred
- 5 years' experience in the same or equivalent role ideally in a manufacturing organization.
- Extremely proficient with production planning systems, such as MRP II
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Thorough understanding of the business and supply chain
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
