About the Role
The Watershed Management Coordinator will play a key role in coordinating comprehensive local water/watershed management planning and implementation efforts across multiple counties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in natural resources, geology, and planning, as well as excellent communication and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate watershed-wide outreach and educational programming as identified in the Public Participation Plan.
- Participate in watershed planning activities as the representative or alternate for other watershed partnerships.
- Develop and implement conservation plans for agricultural landscapes, utilizing various habitat management tools.
- Analyze and interpret scientific and technical data, including financial reports and legal documents.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in natural resources, soils, geology, agriculture, geography, planning, information systems, hydrology, public administration, environmental resource management, or related field.
- Knowledge of geology, geography, planning, wildlife ecology, wetland, and grassland management.
- Experience with design and installation of conservation practices or similar work.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex scientific and technical data.
