Job Description
This role involves coordinating comprehensive local water/watershed management planning and implementation efforts. The position requires coordination of activities for the Chippewa River watershed, involving multiple stakeholders. Responsibilities include developing outreach and educational programming, participating in watershed planning activities, and representing Pope SWCD in partnerships.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in natural resources, soils, geology, agriculture, geography, planning, information systems, hydrology, public administration, environmental resource management, or a related field. Relevant experience with design and installation of conservation practices is desired.
Key qualifications include strong interpersonal communication skills, ability to work with various people, and comprehend complex programs and rules. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. Computer experience with word processing, spreadsheets, and GIS (ArcView) is helpful.
