Drafting and Technical Services Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Drafting and Technical Services Specialist with expertise in takeoffs and estimating to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

Utilize AutoCAD to create, modify, and finalize detailed drawings for various stormwater systems and other internal projects.

Perform takeoffs from plans and specifications for stormwater management projects.

Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other team members to ensure the accuracy of designs and estimates.

Interpret and analyze site plans, specifications, and project requirements.

Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Communicate with vendors and suppliers to obtain technical information as needed.

Qualifications:

· Proficiency in AutoCAD and drafting software.

· Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, specifically related to stormwater systems.

· Experience with takeoffs and estimating processes.

· Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and materials used in stormwater management.

· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

· Demonstrate the ability to problem-solve and think creatively to develop innovative solutions.

· Strong organizational and communication skills.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

· Drafting, or related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience.

· Working in the office is preferred; however, remote work may be considered for the right candidate.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with AutoCAD
• Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, etc.).
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, across various mediums (phone, email, text, web meetings).
• Ability to analyze data, solve problems, and multitask effectively with attention to detail.
• Organizational proficiency and file management skills

Experience of Interest (not required but valued):

• Familiarity with NetSuite or similar CRM platforms.
• Previous experience in stormwater or construction-related industries.
• Background in trades or service business administration.
• Exposure to working with inside sales or sales support roles.
• Customer service experience, especially in a support capacity.
