The Human Resources Assistant, under the direction of the Human Resources Director, will be the first point of contact, greeting staff and visitors. The Human Resource Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support the effective and efficient operations of the human resource department.
Requirements:- HSD or GED is required; associates degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 two years related professional work experience within an office environment.
- Previous Human Resources experience preferred.
- Previous experience with a non-profit organization preferred.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not include any supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Functions
- Employee record management - Maintaining employee files, updating personal information, and ensuring data accuracy within HR systems.
- Recruitment support - Screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating with hiring managers.
- Onboarding - Assisting with new employee paperwork, setting up accounts, assisting with orientation sessions, and providing necessary information.
- Benefits administration - Answering employee questions regarding benefits plans.
- Training coordination - Scheduling training sessions, preparing materials, and managing attendance records.
- Employee communication - Drafting and distributing internal communications and responding to employee inquiries.
- Compliance management - Assisting with maintaining compliance with employment laws, including recordkeeping and reporting.
- Administrative tasks - Handling phone calls, maintaining calendars, preparing reports and other administrative tasks such as invoices, and managing office supplies related to HR functions.
- Perform all other administrative duties as assigned.

- Knowledge of Paylocity a plus.

- Maintaining sensitive employee information with discretion.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger/handle/feel. Occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required: close and color vision.
