Under the direction of the NEXT Memphis Director, the NEXT Memphis Coordinator will provide coordination and support services for the NEXT Memphis partners and internal team. The Coordinator will also assist with other special projects as assigned.
Requirements
This position does not include any supervisory responsibilities.
Support to Internal Team
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and color vision. Work in a non-smoking area.
Special Conditions
This position requires a valid driver's license, a personal vehicle to travel locally to PL sites a minimum of 30% of the time, good driving record with appropriate level of automobile insurance. Ability to travel overnight if necessary.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Services or related field is required.
- Minimum 3 years of administrative and/or logistics coordination experience within an education or a social services environment is required.
- Minimum of one year experience preferred.
This position does not include any supervisory responsibilities.
Support to Internal Team
- Coordinate the schedules and delivery of services with team members
- Assist with identification and refinement of services to offer alliance partners
- Maintain customer service protocol and assist with internal trainings
- Support development of internal capacity for child care business functions such as utilization of business automation tools, human resource services, family support services, professional development and technical assistance by providing on-site technical assistance and coaching.
- Assist with development of performance metrics; assist with data collection to measure impact (e.g., hub time tracking, ProCare utilization)
- Assist with recruitment, vetting and on-boarding of new members
- Assist with meetings (e.g., scheduling, creation of agendas, minutes, etc.)
- Implement shared services best practices with partner centers
- Work closely with the Director to develop and support administrative systems according to needs of the center pertaining to organizational growth, quality programming and requirements from our licensing bodies.
- Work with the Director to develop and support strategies to bolster program quality and operational efficiency of partner center
- Help with onboarding and data entry for child care management software
- Support the following systems according to the needs of the center and our licensing bodies
- File management including cloud-based systems
- Emergency procedures and preparedness
- Support back office functions as needed
- Staff Training Documentation
- Evaluation systems
- Client program timelines
- Support to other special projects
- Model the organizations' values where appropriate (collaborate, recommend evidence-based practices, challenge the status quo)
- Participate as part of an administrative team in the execution of all organization activities
- Out-of-office errands as assigned
- Thorough experience of the early childhood education industry
- Proficient with relevant Microsoft software programs (Word, Publisher, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.)
- Strong communication (i.e., verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to problem solve
- Adaptable to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and can deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to details
