Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Leather Goods Repair Specialist to restore and repair a variety of leather goods including handbags, makeup bags, small pouches, and belts. The ideal candidate will have expertise in leatherworking techniques, leather materials, strong craftsmanship skills, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess leather items for wear, tear, and damage, determining the best repair methods.
- Perform repairs, including:
- Stitching and reinforcing seams
- Replacing or repairing zippers, clasps, buckles, and straps
- Use hand tools and leather care products to restore items.
- Work with various types of leather, including genuine, suede etc.
- Use specialized tools and machines for cutting, stitching, and finishing repairs.
- Maintain an organized workspace and ensure all tools and materials are in good condition.
- Ensure all repairs meet high-quality craftsmanship and durability standards.
- Stay updated on leather care and restoration techniques. (Some travel may be required for training in Mexico).
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Experience in leather repair, bag restoration, upholstery, or related craftsmanship (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of leather types, repair techniques, treatment and restoration techniques.
- Skilled in hand-stitching and operating sewing machines.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple repair projects efficiently.
- Ability to work with precision and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new repair methods.
- Flexibility with schedule to ensure completion of repairs in a timely manner.

- Rate of pay: $22.00 - $24.00/hour (depending on experience)
