What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Coordinator/Receptionist position at Portland Plastic Surgery Group?
Portland Plastic Surgery Group is looking for a charismatic Front Desk Coordinator to join our growing practice. The successful applicant must be willing to perform a variety of tasks throughout the practice with a strong commitment to implement, maintain, and organize tasks efficiently. Additionally, the applicant must be able to develop positive relationships with our patients and our team members.
Responsibilities:
· Checking patients in and out for appointments.
· Collecting any money due prior to or after the appointment.
· Answering phones and scheduling patients or routing calls to appropriate staff.
· Distribute all incoming mail and faxes.
· Manage schedules for multiple providers.
· Must be able to learn and effectively use an electronic medical record system.
· Effectively manage front office duties while assisting other areas of the office to support and excel the practice.
· Work well in a team environment.
· Accomplish all assigned tasks in a timely and trustworthy manner with consistent results.
Hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday.
Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have experience in a medical office.
We are looking for a candidate that has the ability to effectively and warmly communicate information during telephone conversations and during patient interactions. The ideal candidate must have exceptional communication skills with "social intelligence" and a positive, "can-do" attitude. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic and the ability to demonstrate this in past employment. We need someone that is compulsive about being both punctual and reliable. We need someone professional in dress and presentation that is able to handle stressful and busy periods with grace and ease.
