JOB DESCRIPTION: The Jacks Monterey Runners are responsible to the delivery of all food with a sense of urgency while maintaining a friendly, courteous and professional manner and adhering to all health and sanitation regulations.
THE ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS OF THIS JOB ARE:
Responsible for serving guests while complying with a sequence of customer service standards to positively impact the guests experience
Ability to assume a pleasant and helpful attitude towards guests and fellow staff members
Detailed and working knowledge of all menu items
Ensure guest complaints are addressed and/or forwarded to the manager on duty
Open communication with kitchen staff to maintain an orderly line
Communicate needs to the kitchen in a courteous, professional and concise manner
Knowledge of restaurant section, table and seat numbers to ensure accurate delivery of guest orders
Maintain sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas
Comply with the Companys standards of conduct
Complete food and beverage knowledge and be able to communicate in detail to guests

Knowledge of the entire hotel food & safety compliance procedures, hotel safety procedures to ensure the safety and security of our guests and employees.
EDUCATIONAL / CERTIFICATION / LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or equivalent Required
California Food Handlers / ServSafe Certification Required
State approved Certification Alcohol management - Required
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Ability to solve problems quickly.
Basic computer and phone skills.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCED REQUIRED:
Minimum 6-months of Food & Beverage experience required; hospitality experience preferred.
