We are seeking a highly organized and responsible individual to fill the role of Assistant Property Manager. Assistant Property Managers are responsible for assisting with the overall management of the residential properties
Job Responsibilities - Including but not limited to the following:
- Maintain property occupancy by effectively retaining current residents and successfully marketing to attract new ones.
- Accept lease applications from prospective tenants.
- Assist with HUD recertifications
- Foster excellent customer service relationships with residents, vendors, coworkers, and the community.
- assist in rent collection by reaching out to tenants, printing rent notices, and delivering them to residents.
- Assist in coordinating turnover schedules with the maintenance technician and the property manager.
- Assist in supervising the maintenance and security departments as needed, under the direction of the property manager.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the property manager.
Skills & Abilities
- Administrative Skills – data entry, filing, answering phones.
- Communication/Language Skills – ability to communicate with all staff levels, residents, vendors and prospective residents, ability to correspond with all contacts via letters, memos, newsletters and emails.
- Computer Skills – Outlook, Excel, Word, Internet, One-Site.
- Ability to be creative in marketing, leasing, retaining residents and retaining staff.
- Other Skills – confidentiality, customer service, decision-making, patience, respect, teamwork.
- Ability to work collaboratively with property manager and maintenance.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Experience in property management and leasing
- Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant law
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel for administrative tasks
- Familiarity with OneSite software
- Ability to handle conflict management and negotiation
- Relevant experience in data entry and filing systems
