ABOUT THE HUMAN RESOURCE COORDINATOR
The Human Resources Coordinator provides essential administrative support to the People & Culture team, ensuring seamless HR operations across Upward Projects. This role assists with onboarding, employee records, benefits administration, compliance, and general HR inquiries. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating an outstanding employee experience.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL YOU MUST
- Maintain accurate employee records, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Assist in processing new hire paperwork, background checks, and I-9 verifications.
- Manage HR inbox inquiries and provide timely support to employees and managers.
- Assist with leave of absence tracking, terminations, and other employee status changes.
- Support the onboarding process, including new hire orientation coordination.
- Ensure a welcoming and engaging experience for new employees.
- Serve as a point of contact for HR-related questions from employees.
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment and basic benefits questions.
- Support payroll-related inquiries and PTO/Sick time tracking.
- Coordinate employee recognition programs and company initiatives.
- Support hiring managers by scheduling interviews and managing applicant tracking.
- Assist in pre-employment processes and communications with candidates.
- Assist in planning and executing employee engagement activities and events.
- Support company-wide HR initiatives, including training and development programs.
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive workplace culture aligned with Upward Projects’ values.

Requirements
- 1 years of administrative or HR experience preferred, ideally in hospitality, retail, or a high-growth company.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and HRIS systems (experience with Paylocity a plus).
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Salary : $24 - $27
