Position Summary:
Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, the Snow Report Coordinator is crucial for ensuring timely and accurate communication of snow and weather updates, supporting resort marketing efforts, and serving as a key liaison during emergency situations. This role demands a proactive communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels in multitasking, and demonstrates a deep understanding of Powder Mountain’s brand and guest experience priorities. This position is full-time, seasonal, with potential to become year round.
Job Performance Expectations:
- Consistently deliver precise and up-to-date snow and weather reports twice a day via online reporting tool (Lumiplay), ensuring guests have reliable information to plan their visits.
- Create daily mountain report and describe snow conditions for audiences (Instagram Email)
- Collaborate effectively with other members of the marketing team, Mountain Operations, and other departments to align snow reporting, marketing campaigns, and resort-wide initiatives, fostering a seamless and consistent guest experience.
- Serve as a key onsite communication liaison during emergencies, ensuring prompt and accurate information is disseminated to guests and staff, while adhering to resort protocols. (i.e., if the resort closes due to weather and we need to communicate that to the public via email or social)
- Assist Senior Marketing Manager with administrative marketing tasks
- Competent in posting on Instagram, writing emails, and navigating databases
- This role will work out of our Timberline Office
- Work Schedule is Thursday-Monday, 8:00-4:00pm

Requirements
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience in the ski or resort industry, marketing, or communications (preferred).
- Knowledge:
- Understanding of snow conditions, weather reporting, and their impact on resort operations.
- Familiarity with marketing principles, social media platforms, and content creation.
- Knowledge of emergency response protocols in a resort setting (preferred).
- Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in digital tools (e.g., CRM platforms, social media schedulers, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, or Canva).
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Abilities:
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in reporting and communications.
- Adaptability to quickly shift focus between duties.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and make decisions under pressure.
- Commitment to providing excellent guest experiences through timely and relevant information.
Physical Requirements - Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to:
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate amount of weight (up to 40lbs )
- Sufficient physical ability and mobility to walk, sit and stand for prolonged periods of time
- Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a constant basis
- Frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand movements
