Key Responsibilities
- Maintain precise and current biographical, donation, and donor engagement data using Altru, our constituent relationship management (CRM) software.
- Generate and track comprehensive reports on contributions segmented by various parameters to inform strategic decision-making.
- Support the execution of the annual fund, direct mail, email campaigns, and additional fundraising initiatives that align with Powell Gardens’ overarching developmental objectives.
- Engage with organizations within the greater Kansas City area, particularly small and rural communities, to boost awareness and participation among underrepresented groups.
- Analyze feedback from diverse audiences to adapt existing programs and initiatives accordingly, tracking annual data to measure progress.
- Assist in the coordination of donor communications and stewardship efforts to strengthen relationships with our donor base.
- Proficiency in data management and experience with CRM systems, preferably Altru or similar platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective interaction with a diverse audience.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities to analyze data and develop actionable insights.
- Ability to cultivate strong relationships with donors and engage with community members effectively.
- High School Diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, nonprofit management, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent experience may be considered.
- A minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience with constituent relationship management systems is essential.
- At least 2 years of demonstrated experience in donor relations, community outreach, or a related field, with a focus on engaging diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with DEI initiatives will be considered an advantage.
