Business Development Manager Job Overview
In the position of a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing sales activities within an assigned geographical area to meet and exceed assigned KPI’s. Your primary responsibility is to achieve sales targets by building and maintaining long-term relationships with our dealers, dealer representatives and end-user customers. With the use of a company van and equipment, you will accomplish your goals by demonstrating and selling Power Breezer products to both dealers and end-users in mostly large companies, armed forces and large MROs.
Responsibilities
- Meet sales KPI’s
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting dealer relationships to maintain existing customer business and acquire new customer business.
- Travel within the assigned territory to meet with dealer reps and their customers to address heat concerns and provide recommended solutions
- Discover sales opportunities through consumer research
- Participate in industry or promotional events (e.g., trade shows) to cultivate customer relationships
- Install or maintain customer’s Power Breezer equipment when needed
- Monitor competition within assigned region
- Prepare and submit reports to the Sales Managers
- Any other duties assigned by the Sales Managers
Requirements and skills
- At least two years of proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Junior Account Manager or relevant role within the MRO space.
- Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders and customers at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level
- Discuss and compute ROI
- Solid experience with CRM software (preferably with Salesforce), and spreadsheets
- Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
- Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- BA/BS degree in Business Administration preferred, or relevant Sales experience
- Clean driving record and able to travel within and outside the assigned territory as needed, overnight at times and frequently within the territory during peak selling seasons.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and to stand for long periods of time
