Job Description
The Human Resource Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting designated geographic regions by executing HR-related duties on a professional level.
This position entails responsibilities across multiple functional areas, including benefit administration, employee relations, training, onboarding, policy implementation, and employment law compliance.
The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, excellent attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct new hire orientation for field employees at designated work locations
- Schedule drug screens, schedule DOT physicals, background checks
- Create, sort, and review new employee personnel files
- Review and enroll employees in benefits programs
- Accurately enter new employee data into applicable HRIS systems
- Report various weekly/monthly/quarterly reports with accuracy and timeliness when assigned
- Manage and monitor employee medical leave, including FMLA, Short Term Disability, and Long Term Disability
- Assist with special projects, implementation of new processes, and benefits open enrollment
- Process employee terminations with accuracy and in a timely manner for designated work locations
- Manage employee Substance Abuse Program follow-up
- Process employee pay increase/decrease, job classification updates, transfers
- Assist with employee relations for assigned groups
- Prepare company HR policies and procedures
- Process employment verifications
