Summary:
The Corporate Accountant is responsible for assisting in the preparation of the financial close, preparing financial statements, maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the accounting team in various tasks. You will work closely with Senior Accountants and finance professionals to ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies to ensure financial integrity within a dynamic renewable energy environment.
Job Details:
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare and record detailed general ledger journal entries
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis
- Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations prepared by accounting staff
- Ensure proper documentation and support for all financial transactions
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies
- Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations
- Identify inefficiencies in accounting processes and implement improvements for increased accuracy and efficiency
- Assist with developing and documenting accounting policies and procedures
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making
- Analyze financial data and trends, providing insights to management for business planning and growth opportunities
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required
- Minimum of 3 years’ related accounting experience, renewables industry is a plus
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations and compliance requirements including technical accounting under GAAP
- Experience working within an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, NetSuite ERP is a plus
- Familiarity with construction contracts, project management methodologies and construction-related regulations a plus
- Strong Excel skills relative to data processing and analysis such as complex pivot tables, V/H/X LOOKUP, SUMIFS, etc. with more advanced skills such as macros, Power Query, etc. valued
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certification such as CPA/CMA is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- This position is remote within the greater Portland, OR or Denver, CO with the ability to travel occasionally for business needs

Compensation for this position is commensurate with location, experience and relevant skills. The national Average Base Salary Range is $69,000-$92,000. Positions may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on company and personal performance.
