What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate with teachers and school leaders to provide targeted, culturally responsive instruction in ELA or Math
- Serve as push-in support, assisting teachers during lessons and working hands-on with selected students
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that motivates students to achieve their academic goals
- Provide individualized attention to students as needed to address specific challenges in ELA or Math
- Days: Monday – Thursday
- Time: 11:10 AM – 2:10 PM
- Duration: March 3, 2025 – May 1, 2025 (excluding holidays and school conferences)
- Key Dates Off:
- March 6: Elementary Parent-Teacher Conferences
- March 31: Eid al-Fitr
- April 14–18: Spring Recess
- Experience: Prior experience tutoring or teaching elementary school subjects (grades 3–5)
- Subject Proficiency: Strong knowledge of elementary-level ELA and/or Math concepts
- Team Player: Collaborative spirit and a desire to work closely with teachers and students
- Communication: Strong verbal and written skills to connect effectively with diverse audiences
- Passion: A commitment to educational equity and social justice for minority and low-income students
- Availability: Must be able to work the specified schedule consistently
- Competitive Pay: Earn $22/hr with the opportunity to increase to $24.20/hr through a completion bonus
