Summary
Responsible for providing efficient service to all Slot customers and ensures slot machines are monitored on a continual basis for full capacity operation.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Provides excellent guest service to all external and internal guests in a manner that assures a quality and enjoyable guest experience. Interacts with guests and team members in a positive, professional manner.
- Monitors the operation of assigned slot machines and participates in payout of manual jackpots in accordance with policy. Assists guests on a timely basis with requests for change.
- Walks the floor to keep assigned area clean, pick-up trash, push in chairs, and identify any possible guest service opportunities.
- Promotes departmental and property-wide promotions with all customers.
- Brings disputes and unusual customer activities to the attention of the shift supervisor.
- Maintains a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Must be able to work the required work schedule, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Works physically onsite to manage business and interact personally with Team Members, vendors and guests.
- Ensures all safety standards are met and possible safety hazards are quickly resolved.
- Maintains a consistent and regular attendance record.
- Is a role model and champion of Prairie Flower Casino’s Mission and Values.
- Previous guest service experience required. 1 year money handling experience preferred. Casino experience preferred.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Excellent Guest Service and interpersonal skills required.
- Must have the basic ability to use a computer.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English in order to serve guests,
- Strong organizational skills required.
- Must be able to maintain an appropriate Gaming License.
- Regularly required to lift up to 25 pounds. Will consistently push and pull up to 25 pounds.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
- Required to walk and stand for entire shift. Will often need to sit and kneel. Consistently required to reach with hands and arms. Uses hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, increasing to loud when on the casino floor.
- Must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations.
- This casino has an enclosed gaming area where smoking is allowed. Team members may be exposed to a smoking environment in or around this designated smoking area.
