Position Summary
The Tree & Shrub technicians are responsible for assisting in the production of native trees and shrubs to be installed on our projects or sold directly to customers.
Duties and Responsibilities
Caring for plants in the production greenhouses and plots
Selecting plants for customer orders
Delivering orders
Weeding
Assisting with inventory management
Answer emails and phone calls about inventory and orders
Qualification Requirements
- Sincere interest in raising and tending plants.
- Education in Horticulture, Botany, or relevant field preferred
- Experience in greenhouse is preferred
- Tolerance of working outside in occasionally adverse conditions.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Position Details
- Full Time Seasonal positions available
Work Environment
Regularly works around moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity. Noise level may be loud at times. Working hours can be long and unpredictable.
Physical Demands
Must be able to move objects up to 40 lbs. and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Constant movement and use of limbs. This position requires good manual dexterity, coordination and stamina.
