Summary
This is an opportunity for a highly motivated, team-oriented Buyer / Planner to join Pratt & Whitney Columbus Engine Center (CEC) supporting first-shift operations. In addition to tactical buying and sourcing, you will be responsible for managing the procurement cycle, critical shortages, and issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities
Creation and end-to-end management of repair purchase orders in support of Columbus Engine Center operations
Manage critical shortages in support of 100% on time delivery of repairs to customers
Provide timely support of business reporting requirements and deliverables
Local delivery assurance and supplier development, monitoring and escalation of systemic issues
Achieve the highest levels of customer support to engine center and other internal/external stakeholders
Adhere to all standard work, purchasing policies, procedures, and processes
Standard work development, as required
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience in Manufacturing, Military, Logistics, Aerospace, or Aviation industry; OR an Associate’s degree and 4 years of relevant industry experience; OR an Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate and 4 years of relevant industry experience; OR High School Diploma and 8 years of relevant experience
U.S. Citizenship is required due to government contracts
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree STEM fields preferred.
Experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Supplier Management.
Knowledge of international trade compliance regulations related to material logistics.
Aerospace or Aftermarket Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) industry experience (highly preferred).
Demonstrated issue resolution skills (both vendor- and customer-facing).
Organizational and project management skills; PMP certification preferred.
Lean manufacturing experience, and/or CORE, ACE, Six-Sigma training.
Ability to work across and communicate with all levels of the organization.
Experience using Microsoft Office, Solumina, SAP, or similar MRP/ERP systems.
