Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Assist in the analysis of financial reports to identify tax implications.
- Conduct account analysis and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate with senior accountants on various tax-related projects.
- Interpret technical accounting standards and apply them to tax scenarios.
- Support private equity transactions by analyzing relevant tax considerations.
- Utilize tax software for efficient data management and reporting.
- Stay updated on securities law changes that may impact client tax obligations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Tax Return Preparation.
- Knowledge of technical accounting principles and practices.
- QuickBooks experience preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial reports effectively.
- Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Sage, is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing individual responsibilities.
- Strong communication skills to convey complex tax concepts clearly.
- Willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done, especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal pressures and longer work hours.
