Responsibilities and Duties
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Producing high-quality parts on CNC machines
- Loading parts, proving tapes, operating controls, setting offsets, performing edits, deburring, and inspecting
- Interpreting inspection data and making adjustments as needed
- Measuring and marking dimensions and reference points for subsequent machining
- Detecting equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusting machine, controls, or control media as required
- Communicating with supervisors, engineers, maintenance, quality, and other shop personnel
- Maintaining a clean and orderly work area and performing preventative maintenance on equipment
- Adhering to state and federal laws, company quality programs, and safety regulations
Qualifications and Skills
To be considered for this role, applicants must:
- Have a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Hold a 2-year degree in Precision Machining or have at least 2 years of experience operating CNC machines in a controlled environment
- Be proficient in programming language and knowledge of precision measuring instruments
- Be able to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Possess excellent communication and teamwork skills
