What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Inspector in Plastic Injection Molding position at Precise Personnel, LLC.?
Position is Contract to Hire.
The primary role of the Quality Control Inspector is to inspect plastic injection molded parts using hand inspection tools, optical comparator equipment and Smart Scope. Quality Control Inspectors perform all aspects of inspection activities. They ensure raw material, in-process, final finished products, and/or molded parts conform to customer drawing’s requirements, including certifications and any other required documentation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following and other duties may
be assigned. In addition, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility at a
3 level or higher (range 1 to 5 level) to be considered performing satisfactory in the position:
1. Set up and run inspection machines and equipment.
2. Work with Quality, Manufacturing and Engineering team to solve problems in manufacturing of
out of tolerance parts
3. Create & maintain documents outlining step-by-step processes they followed for inspection
tasks for specific jobs.
4. Reading and understand drawings, specifications and other documentation
5. Writing and maintaining inspection logs
6. Conduct physical inspection of product with gauging such as: Thread gages, plug gages, pin
gages, functional gages.
7. Perform visual and/or cosmetic inspection of product following applicable procedure(s) using
appropriate light sources.
8. Perform functional and destructive testing using Instron Tensile/compression tester or similar
9. Monitor equipment to ensure proper operation and escalate any equipment-related issues
10. Communicate potential nonconforming situations to Quality Engineering and Quality
Management.
11. Quarantine non-conforming or potential non-conforming parts or materials and complete
necessary reports
12. Complete First Article Inspections as well as receiving, in-process, and final and packaging
inspections against customer requirements with minimal supervision
13. Inspect customer-returned parts
14. Under guidance, perform first piece inspections to support production and perform internal
manufactured first articles.
15. Support quality and compliance by adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and forms per
the Quality Management Systems (QMS).
16. Participate in investigations of CARs or NCRs
17. Work as Directed
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to read & understand drawing/prints
Have Geometric and drawing dimension comprehension training or certification is a plus
Requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Quality Control
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbally & written (bi-lingual helpful but not
necessary
Self-starter & self-learner
Work effectively under pressure & maintain a positive attitude
Be able to be a team player.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Degree in a technical discipline and/or equivalent work experience as determined by examples of past successes in a manufacturing environment.
The preferred candidate will have OGP Smart Scope experience or equivalent
Experience in Plastic Injection Molding Manufacturing, or related industry is preferred
Salary : $24 - $30
