Job Summary:
The IT Support Specialist provides functional and technical support for the use of Precision Analytical’s information systems.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide an onsite point of contact for all staff IT-related requests, including on-site infrastructure, cloud services, and software applications
- Provide standard tier 1 & 2 support to staff by identifying issues; researching answers; guiding and directing staff to corrective steps
- Coordinate and escalate support calls to responsible parties as appropriate (e.g. to IT managed service provider, business analyst, external software support, copy/print vendors, etc.)
- Procure, deploy and maintain workstation hardware and software
- Track service requests and tickets, ensuring follow-up and issue resolution
- Work closely with onboarding staff to ensure newly hired staff are adequately prepared with the right technology for their roles
- Coordinate and administer systems access, according to policy and working closely with management
- Act as “boots on the ground” to troubleshoot and apply revisions/updates to local hardware and software. Work with vendors to assist in these activities
- Be the primary caretaker of all conference room technology
- Improve support knowledge base by writing and maintaining documentation.
- Improve system performance by identifying problems; recommending changes
- Follow up with staff to ensure issues have been resolved
- Complete training as needed to stay current on IT practices and understands his/her contribution to the achievement of the organization’s mission and objectives

Qualifications & Desired Skills:
- College degree preferred. Associate degree or higher. Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year for year basis
- Experience in a customer service or user-facing role, displaying strong interpersonal and listening skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in PC/Laptop hardware, operating systems, and support
- Experience with office software applications such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint, remote access, and other tools
- Basic IT networking (wired and wireless LAN) knowledge
- Adept at establishing trust, empathy and positive working relationships with coworkers and vendor partners
- Dependable and punctual; ability to work flexible hours to meet business needs
- Positive attitude; a champion for our people, values, culture, company, and brand
Work Environment:
This position is in an office environment with frequent use of a computer and related hardware. A person must be able to stand and/or sit; see, hear and talk; use hands to type, handle or feel tools or controls; use hands and arms to reach. Occasionally lifting/moving up to 30lbs is also required.
In addition, this position may require a person to travel via car, airplane, and other modes of transportation to various sites including Precision Analytical locations, stores or vendor locations, training or meeting venues, etc.
