Precision Aviation Group is seeking an experienced Thermal Spray Technician to join their team. This role involves setting up and operating dual wire arc and robotic spray booths to apply thermal spray coatings to various components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in thermal spray technology and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. They will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols, and meeting production targets.
Key Responsibilities
The Thermal Spray Technician will be responsible for preparing components by cleaning, masking, and blasting, as well as measuring completed parts to ensure conformance to specifications using precision instruments such as calipers and micrometers. They will use OEM and/or proprietary prints to ensure proper process completion and adhere to pre-established guidelines or shop travelers to perform job functions. As required, they may fabricate or modify fixtures for masking or spray processes.
Requirements
This role requires sitting or standing for extended periods, frequent walking, bending, and reaching to shoulder level, occasional squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling weight up to 20 pounds, and repetitive hand movement. The position also demands corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Basic computer skills are necessary for this role.
